It was another successful night at the office for Project Boxing’s unbeaten prospect William Crolla. At his home AO Arena in Manchester – the scene of his big brother and coach Anthony’s greatest world title winning nights – Will wasted little time in despatching Italy’s Fabio Cascone.
A beauty of a body shot was enough to end the contest in the first round – the third time Will has registered an opening round victory – with his perfect record now standing at five fights, five wins, with four inside the distance. It was a great night all round for Team Crolla, with Rhiannon Dixon claiming the WBO world lightweight belt after overcoming Karen Carabajal on points.
In the main event, local lad Zelfa Barrett put in a headline performance by stopping Jordan Gill.
